Students have been offered places at The University of Cambridge, Durham University, The University of Manchester and Goldsmiths, The University of London, to name just a few. They will be studying on courses including modern foreign languages, European politics, architecture, pharmacy, international disaster management and aerospace engineering.
On top of this, their performing arts students have gained places at some of the top dance and drama schools and conservatoires in the country including, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, East 15 Acting School, The Urdang Academy, The Bird College of Dance and Guildford School of Acting.

The Beacon status department is nationally acclaimed, boasting exceptional and unique enrichment, dedicated training from industry leading professionals, incredible facilities and even more impressive alumni.

Some of the most impressive alumni include Tom Glynn-Carney, who took a leading role in the Academy Award winning, box-office hit, Dunkirk, starring alongside Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy and Harry Styles. The college is well-known for it’s incredible, student led, Season of Shows, which often receive five-star reviews from local influencers and media outlets.
5) Study at the Admired Centre of Excellence in Science, Engineering and Maths
Pendleton’s outstanding science provision has also been recognised nationally.
In 2017, one of their science students, Maryam Taher, won the overall BTEC Student of the Year Award at the national BTEC Awards hosted by Pearson. This was just another accolade to add to a huge history of success the department already has within the science category at the awards. In fact, Pendleton Sixth Form College science students have come out on top at four of the past seven events.
As if this wasn’t enough, Pendleton’s space engineering course is one of only two in the country. It has been recognised by regional press as the only course in the North of England that is ‘skyrocketing’ aspirations and teaching young people in the local area that the sky isn’t actually the limit when it comes to their careers, but they can go beyond that.
The course has been created by the National Space Academy and is funded by the National Space Centre and the UK Space Agency and aims to educate and inspire the next generation of astronauts.

The School of Creative Arts has a rich history of educating future artists and designers in preparation for a career in the creative industries.
