Musical Theatre students from Salford City College’s Pendleton Sixth Form Centre ensured that the ‘Pendleton Season of Shows’ once again went out with a bang, with a stunning cabaret performance at the annual Music in the Park event on Friday 26th June.
Within the beautiful setting of the grounds and gardens of Buile Hill Park, guests arrived and were greeted to a glass of Bucks Fizz whilst being serenaded by the student choirs (pictured below). The dress code for the evening was ‘black and white’, adding to the decadent feel of the event.
A lavish three course meal was followed by an hour-long cabaret performed by the Musical Theatre students, who showcased their favorite songs from their two years at the College. The students’ stunning performance was accompanied by a live band.
John Spindler, CEO and Principal at Salford City College, said: “Having started at the College earlier this year, this was my first Music in the Park. I was hugely impressed by the level of professionalism shown by the students who performed on the evening, and thought it a very fitting way to celebrate the any of another hugely successful year for both the Musical Theatre students and the College as a whole.”
